I don't get it . . . What is greenpuppy all about?

greenpuppy offers a service that enables families to go carbon neutral with very little effort... greenpuppy plants trees to offset a family's carbon footprint (for life) and allows families to pay for this service over time so that going green is possible for people of all walks of life. greenpuppy makes it easy for people to help the planet!

greenpuppy has spent a great deal of time figuring out the best way to offset peoples "personal" carbon emissions; the best trees to plant, optimal trees per acre, EPA forestry and sequestration guidelines, and to be frank, greenpuppy was surprised at the significant cost per household to go carbon neutral.

So . . . greenpuppy figured out a way for normal everyday folks to pay a reasonable amount per month to go carbon neutral right now!

If you are a real green fanatic and have the time and inclination to do it all for yourself then that is great! You certainly do not need greenpuppy. But if you are like most people and have absolutely no free time and haven't gotten it together to address your carbon emissions yet . . . greenpuppy offers a service that might make a little bit of a difference for folks like you - and for the Planet!

Why should I use greenpuppy - can't I just figure this out for myself?

Absolutely! greenpuppy encourages everyone to get intimately involved with their carbon footprint and to take full responsibility for themselves and for their family's carbon emissions. That said, greenpuppy offers busy people an easy streamlined way to calculate and offset their carbon emissions right now! A family can offset their carbon emissions for the rest of their lives without the continued burden and time constraints of having to do the leg work themselves.

greenpuppy feels that this is a valuable service and that it will save greenpuppy families many hours of research, planning, calculating and the annoyance of figuring out what to do and when. This is no simple topic, greenpuppy has spent a great deal of time agonizing over the latest research and EPA recommendations - including the latest information on the number of trees needed per ton of carbon - growth rates, sequestration and forestry planting recommendations etc . . .

greenpuppy has done significant research into the best, most respected tree planting non-profit organizations to align ourselves with. In addition to all of this greenpuppy has teamed up with an Internet financial institution to give well-meaning folks - without immense resources - a simple cost effective way to go carbon neutral immediately, and for life, without paying thousands of dollars upfront. greenpuppy makes it easy for people to help the planet!

Where does greenpuppy plant trees?

To date greenpuppy has planted trees in Mexico, California and New Orleans. greenpuppy works only with well established and respected nonprofit organizations focused on tree planting. These groups have been around for years and greenpuppy is glad to be supporting their well meaning but seriously under-funded efforts.

How does greenpuppy know that my trees are getting planted?

greenpuppy will be travelling to the reforestation areas and he will post his reports for all to see on greenpuppy.org. greenpuppy takes his job very seriously and is committed to excellence and absolute transparency.

You give out certificates and stickers . . . isn't that bad for the environment?

greenpuppy pre-planted many more trees than needed to offset things like printed materials and miscellaneous office items - greenpuppy is carbon neutral for life! (Incidentally the certificates are electronic).
